Linwood Community Woodland

Linwood is a small town near Paisley, Renfrewshire. It has a big retail park and is a good place for shopping however it might be a surprise to some that it has a community woodland.

It’s a small woodland but it’s still a lovely walk, with flat surfaced paths. You can follow three trails.

Three wooden signposts with trail names carved into them in Linwood Community Woodland.

The routes are well marked, just pick a colour and follow the route. I did the Roe Deer Trail and saw quite a few robins on this path.

I was pleasantly surprised by the walk and thanks to the trees, it was easy to forget that you’re in a town and not in the middle of nowhere – especially in the snow.

It was pretty quiet when I walked around and the paths were wide – perfect for social distancing!
