Linwood is a small town near Paisley, Renfrewshire. It has a big retail park and is a good place for shopping however it might be a surprise to some that it has a community woodland.
It’s a small woodland but it’s still a lovely walk, with flat surfaced paths. You can follow three trails.
The routes are well-marked, just pick a colour and follow the route. I did the Roe Deer Trail and saw quite a few robins on this path.
I was pleasantly surprised by the walk and thanks to the trees, it was easy to forget that you’re in a town and not in the middle of nowhere – especially in the snow.
Where to find Linwood Community Woodland
Linwood Community Woodland can be found near the ON-X Leisure Centre. Park at the centre’s car park and walk past the football pitches. Head towards the trees and you will see a wooden sign.
Address: Brediland Road, Linwood PA3 3RA
