Faerie Hollow sits north of Callander beside Loch Lubnaig. This is another Scottish Scenic Routes project which aims to bring tourism to lesser-visited parts of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.
Faerie Hollow is a small grassy hollow made from wood which gives you amazing views across Loch Lubnaig. On a quiet day, the hollow can feel like you’re hidden away from the world.
Loch Lubnaig is quite easy to get to and there are a couple of car parks – these can get busy during the summer months. The Cabin at Loch Lubnaig houses toilets and a food and drink kiosk. If you’ve got a motorhome or tent you can also book a pitch.
If you’re interested in fishing, you can buy day and season permits from the Cabin. Loch Lubnaig is a peaceful loch so many people enjoy swimming and bringing their canoes out here.
Nearby Callander is a great place to visit, there are shops, cafes and restaurants. A popular walk in Callander is Bracklin Falls but there are many walks around this area.
